**Once upon a time - There was a bad batch of finish. Where if there was a small variation of temperature, the finish of The Rebel Ukuleles would get finish cracks. And as it often is with my luck... I got most of that batch. Boo. Story of my life.
So if it DOES happen, this is what it is like. these thin spider cracks are sometimes subtle, sometimes prominent, and on about 50% of this batch it did not happen at all! Unfortunately, since they are an international company, there is no way for me to ship these ukuleles back to them, so they agreed I can go nuts and heavily discount them.
THESE ARE NOT CRACKS IN THE WOOD! The wood is actually fine and dandy. It is literally just the finish. BUT! THIS ONE HAS NO CRACKS! No cracks...yet...! BUT it may never have cracks! But there is a 50/50 chance that if this ukulele experiences cold variations it may get these ONLY finish cracks. So do you feel lucky? Well do ya?
Take a risk... take a gamble. Because it does save $120. And if it weirdly does happen, consider it a "vintage look". And just own the fact that although it looks funky, these are some of the BEST sounding and BEST playing ukuleles around and now you can have one for a SUPER cheap price! My loss is your gain! Once these glosses are gone I will only be stocking the matte finish as a result. So you can order those with confidence!**

The Acacia has a warm, rich tone, but with a nice hard attack and punch. Rebels are made light so they are smooth and resonant. The acacia really has a lovely bold, while still remaining rich, tone. With florocarbon strings and 4:1 ratio Gotoh UPT tuners, these ukuleles are made with only the best woods and appointments. The ebony fretboard has the beautiful Rebel signature fret markers. This model has the standard body thickness. The tenor neck on the concert body gives the concert tone with the comfortable tenor scale length neck!
