**These ukes are a long story. It was made in January of 2019. They hit a spot of dry air getting to me and the edged where the top and back meet the sides were sharp. I was going to send them back but them Covid hit! Doh! And it was effecting everyone and I told KoAloha I would wait to send them back in a couple months when covid was over...
... and the rest is history! So, on my repair shelf they sat. Then I realized by this time the window of opportunity is past and so I ended up realizing I could smooth out the sharpness. So... I have smoothed the edges, making some areas a little shinier than others, but you will only notice if you are looking for it. And so it is an older Opio, it is all set up, it sounds AMAZING, but it is blemished in a quirky way. So it is at a bargain basement price. So as long as you play the heck out of it, add some of your own blemishes yourself, and just dont look too closely you will get a great playing KoAloha they you will love forever and ever. It is still set up by me and will still come with a free humidifier!**
Opio by KoAloha Ukuleles are made with all the same tooling and specs as KoAloha, but they are built in a great factory in Thailand. They take a lot of pride in the build and sound of these ukulele.
