** Although this one is not marked blem, I noticed some imperfections. Only after I set it up with Martin Fluorocarbon strings. So you will get an ukulele that has some minor only cosmetic blemishes, with upgraded strings, for less money! No need to upgrade strings at checkout. This one had some lines in the fretboard which is just from the cut of wood. It wont get worse and really is just a cosmetic blemish. Then the finish is a little scratchy. I couldnt get a good picture. But it will save you some money! I took close up pictures of the fretboard so you can make sure it does not bother you before you purchase.**
Mahogany has a warm, rich, mellow tone to it. Ohana mahoganies have great projection for a mahogany. They are rich and warm and full! The pineapple has the unique classic Hawaiian body shape and the round body gives this ukulele a little more fullness and warmth compared to the classic soprano body. The beauty of it being an all-solid instrument is, the more you play it, the better it will sound. All-solid instruments open up with time, but Ohanas will still sound amazing right out of the box. The Ohanas have a nice light construction that makes it very resonant. I think you will be very pleased! This is a cute pineapple model with the pineapple headstock and the nice side geared tuners! I love these all solid mahoganies. It has a very pretty tone and are a great value for an all-solid instrument. The gloss finish really brings out the beauty of the wood grain.
