**This is one of the first Imua ukuleles to be made. The serial number is just 52. But the batch of finish has what has been called a "blueing" quality where the finish sort of has a hazy cloudy blue-ness to it. It is not very obvious, but for the full price of the ukulele, I did not feel good about selling it for that. Plus I felt it needed upgraded strings. So it went on my repair shelf and ended up turning into dead stock. So I am going to give it a hefty discount and get it moved along. I put some Martin Fluorocarbon strings on it and it really sings. I swear the time on my shelf next to a vibrating humidifier may have opened it up some because I was surprised how good it sounded. So if you dont mind an older model, and a slightly cloudy finish, this is a great way to get a well constructed Made in Hawaii ukulele for an affordable price! This also has the old logo which is my favorite! Weirdly too, one of my initial frustrations is I was sent cases that were not sized for concert ukes. So I will include at my cost a hard concert case.**
Made in Hawaii, the Imua ukuleles have the nice, woody, warm Hawaiian ukulele tone. I do not offer Imua anymore and this one as well as 2 others were found in my repair section of my shop. It had been forgotten about when I changed on-line selling platforms. There is a small finish nick in the headstock as well as a few subtle hard to see imperfections, therefore I am discounting it for you. It will come with a hard case. They have a nice tone and a very unique feel that is very much inspired by the Japanese ukulele build style. It will still get my full setup and we will decide what your favorite string is and swap the strings out before I ship to you!
