**I noticed this ukulele started getting a small dip above the bridge and it is very small and slight, and a lot of ukes do this as the top settles. So I removed the listing and set it on my shelf to make sure it did not get worse over time. And when I went to check on it the finish did not age well and it has some light spots on the front and some on the back. I think this was a different finish than he usually uses and it just did something funky. I have never seen this before on his ukes so it is not a typical thing, but it will save you A LOT of money! I have discounted this uke to less than I paid for it just to move it along to a new home. So take a look at the close up pictures and make sure it does not bother you before your purchase. You can refinish it, or enjoy the more accidental "well worn" look. So my loss is your gain!**
The 16" scale is between a concert and a tenor! It plays great with tenor strings.
Each ukulele is one of a kind and hand made with care and skill by Mike Pereira in California! So a Made in the USA Ukulele for an affordable price.
This ukulele really lets the wood shine in both looks and tone. The mahogany is warm and rich, with a lot of volume and a beautiful full and round pineapple tone! It really has a wonderful true-to-tonewood punch and richness. I also love an ukulele where the wood is allowed to shine both tonally and in looks. Each cut of wood is it's own work of art. But because there is not a lot of heavy finish added to this ukulele, it really has a great volume and tone. It is an affordable luthier-made ukulele, made by a skilled and trusted ukulele builder. Let me know if you have any questions!
