**This one is actually my bad. I did not know how soft the non-glossed cedar on this model was. So when I was changing the strings I pulled off the old strings with too much gusto and it put a line in the top. Then I did something a put the other boo boo on the top of this uke. It is superficial, but will save you a lot of money. And it comes with a free string upgrade. And now lesson is learned and my pro tip is if you are going to change strings on this model, just put a piece of painters tape under the bridge and the boo boo wont happen again! So my loss is your gain! I took a lot of close up pictures to try to capture it.*
I love cedar. With a big, bold, warm, and rich tone, it really stands out and has a full volume and richness that ukulele players love! The light construction of this model really gives it resonance and allows that cedar to shine and sing! It comes with the beautiful flower fretboard inlay. A lot of "pretty" ukes on the market fall flat when it comes to construction and tone. You are buying the look but not buying the playability. But not with Ohana. This is a great looking, but also an easy playing, and a great sounding ukulele!
Being a laminate back and sides, you get the full tone of the cedar with the added stability of the laminate to make this ukulele more stable in a variety of temperature and humidity conditions.
