If you want a Tiple, Ohana makes a great Tiple! The Ohana Tiples are modeled after the rare Martin Vintage Tiples, an instrument made with 10 strings. It is Octave paired G, then High, Low, High C, then High, Low, High E, and then unison A. It is clangy and rich, and a unique distinctive tone. If you have been looking for this jangly, steel string, throw-back tone, it is available through Ohana Ukuleles. These are often limited in availability, so get yours while you can! Keep in mind, the short scale steel strings will have a different tone and although the intonation is close, it often is just a little imperfect. It is the nature of the instrument, so people with perfect pitch might be bothered that with the higher fretting the intonation is close but not perfect. So if you are very sensitive to perfect intonation, this may not be the instrument for you, so please purchase accordingly! Personally, I love them! But if you are an ukulele player, know this is a Tiple, and although it can be tuned like an ukulele, it will have a very different feel! It is a unique instrument and behaved differently than a classic ukulele!
